App-Garden University courses may be purchased by prospective substitutes. Please carefully review the following information about Buncombe County Schools' requirements:

• The course titled “A Very Important Video” must be completed before you can begin the course titled “Effective Substitute Teacher Training.”

• The course is 8-10 hours and is at your own pace.

• Each course contains quizzes, and you will have three opportunities to pass each quiz. 

• Completing the Effective Substitute Teacher Training does not guarantee employment with BCS.

• For support/help, you may scroll to the bottom and click on “Need Help?” and a representative will contact you during normal business hours Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. If you need support on weekends or holidays, you will be contacted when normal business hours resume.
