Racial Harmony Award Winner from Wingate-
On Sunday, Raven Archer, 2nd grader in Mrs. Bertrand's class, was recognized as a Racial Harmony Award winner from Wingate. Here's a little bit about Raven:
Raven is always focused on the well being of other students. She is welcoming and accepting of students of all races, genders, and special needs. She is patient and kind. Raven sets a great example for all students by modeling how others should be treated. When a special needs student joined our class for recess, Raven took his hand and immediately welcomed him to join her. Whenever a student is hurt, she is the first to check on them and seek help from an adult. Whenever a student drops something or needs assistance, she rushes to their aid. Raven is always setting a great example in class. She tries her hardest and never gives up. She is willing to be partners with any student and is welcoming and accepting to all.
Raven is a great example of our Core Values at Wingate Elementary School! Congratulations Raven-we are all so proud of you!

5 Essentials Parent Survey-
Each year all public schools in the State of Illinois are required to administer the 5 Essentials Survey to staff, parents and older students. Wingate is a great school community and we would love to hear your feedback on your family's experience at Wingate. Please take a few minutes to complete this parent survey. The survey is open until March 29th. (Hint-I just took it for my son's school. When it says county, Saint Clair has to be spelled out. The survey took me approximately 5 minutes) Thanks!
