We Are West!
West Heritage Elementary March 2024
A Message from - Mrs. Vittorio & Dr. Voglezon
Dear West Heritage Families,
As we enter the final trimester of this school year, we find ourselves reflecting on the incredible journey we've had so far. It's been a year filled with growth, learning, and unforgettable moments, and we couldn't be prouder of our scholars for their hard work and dedication.
This trimester, we're excited to celebrate the achievements of our students and finish the year with a renewed focus and determination. From academic accomplishments to personal milestones, each success is a testament to the resilience and perseverance of our school community.
As we strive to finish the year strong, we encourage our students to stay committed to their studies, embrace challenges with confidence, and continue to support one another along the way. Together, we can accomplish anything we set our minds to!
We look forward to celebrating the many achievements of our scholars in the coming months and ending the year on a high note. Thank you for your continued support and partnership in making our school a place where every child can thrive. We look forward to seeing all of you at our Open House on, Thursday, March 21st.
We will also be hosting a 'We Are West Fest' early in April and encourage you to sign up to share your culture with our community. There is more information below. We are looking forward to this celebration of our diversity.
Let's make this last trimester one to remember!
With warm regards,
Mrs. Vittorio & Dr. Voglezon

PTA 2024-2025 Election Interest Form - West Needs YOU!
A Message from the PTA President
Hello! My name is Sherry Ramirez, and I am currently West's PTA President. I have had the honor of serving our students, staff and community over the past few years in different PTA Board positions, and I am a substitute teacher (focusing solely on West, of course). Being part of such an extraordinary school has inspired me to return to college to attain my Teaching Credentials and Masters degree so that I can be a full-time teacher! I hope this paints a clear picture as to how amazing West is, and its partnership with PTA.
I absolutely love PTA, the connections I've made, and the friendships I've gained. More than anything, I am so grateful to be able to regularly see the smiles painted across the students and staff's faces when our team provides fun and enriching activities. I am personally reaching out for someone to fill the PTA President position for the upcoming school year. I want to make it crystal clear that you will not be alone! Everyone on the current Board will be happy to answer any questions or concerns as they arise, and there are so many families that are actively supporting our school. It would be so heartbreaking to see all of the progress that we have made since the pandemic come to an end. The time is now, to step up and KNOW how to help and what to do to support your children. You can be the person to make such a positive impact on the lives of so many. Don't let the fear of the unknown deter you from the MANY phenomenal experiences that PTA will have in store for you!
If you have any questions please reach out to me personally. I'm honored to help.

The partnership with PTA and our school community is vital to our ability to provide students and families with so many engagement opportunities. Thank you for your consideration.

Meet our PTA
Mrs. Meath- Historian and Ms. Dietrich- Teacher Representative
Ms. Dietrich is in her 6th year of teaching (4 of which have been at West). She grew up in Etiwanda, where she actually had Mrs. Vittorio as her middle school teacher! What a small world. She has 2 cat fur babies named Marley and Ollie. Ms. Dietrich loves to travel, read, and do spin classes with Mrs. Meath. This is Ms. Dietrich's first year in PTA, and serving on the Board as our Teacher Representative. She has witnessed how much PTA offers the school and community, and knew she wanted to be a part of this amazing, and FUN team. We are so thrilled to have Ms. Dietrich to serve as a voice of the teachers and staff, so that we can work together as a united team!
