Golden Ticket Contest Details - 2023/2024
At the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year, each of our Feinstein Jr. Scholars received their own individually numbered Feinstein Jr. Scholar Golden Ticket! These Feinstein Jr. Scholar Golden Tickets give Jr. Scholars a chance to win money for their school,
money for a non-profit of their choice AND other special prizes!

How it works
- Random drawing each Monday of 5 new Golden Ticket numbers -- announced on WPRI Channel 12 during their 4:30pm programming and shared the following day (Tuesdays) on our Virtual Journal, Facebook and via email with our Leadership Schools!
- Winning numbers are valid the week of their posting.
- Jr. Scholars with a winning ticket number should notify their school/teacher immediately to claim their prizes!
- Winning ticket must be in hand to claim prizes.
- Winning schools receive a $5,000 grant!
- Winning students receive the opportunity to gift a $500 grant to a non-profit of their choice, or to their school!
- Winning students also receives a surprise set of gifts for them, from us here at The Feinstein Foundation!
- How do I get my child a Feinstein Jr. Scholar Golden Ticket? Speak with your child's school leadership and request that they join our Feinstein Leadership School program.
- Who received a Golden Ticket? A Golden Ticket was provided to each of our Jr. Scholars through their registered Feinstein Leadership School in September.
- Where will the winning numbers be posted? Winning numbers will premier on WPRI Channel 12 4:30p.m. news (Mondays) and posted thereafter to our Feinstein Virtual Club and Facebook page (Tuesdays)
- How long does a student have to claim a winning raffle number? Winning numbers are valid the week of their posting. If you have a winner tell your school leadership a.s.a.p. !
- How should we notify The Feinstein Foundation of a winner? Contact us by phone (401) 467-5155 or by email immediately!

Benefits as a Feinstein Leadership School
1. Valuable 2023-2024 Feinstein Jr. Scholar Cards for each of your students, offering them many benefits, including free admission to the wonderful Mystic Aquarium — and much more! (Visits may need to be scheduled in advance for some card attractions. Please advise parents/guardians to call or visit attraction websites prior to visiting.)
2. Virtual Jr. Scholar Journal, located on our website, for your Jr. Scholars! Our Virtual Journal is a place for Jr. Scholars to write Mr. Feinstein about their good deeds, a place to see the current Golden Ticket winning numbers and a place to find information and activities from our Jr. Scholar Card partners! QR code for our Virtual Jr. Scholar Journal can be found on the front of this year’s Jr. Scholar Card!
3. Back by popular demand, our Golden Ticket Program returns for the 2023-2024 school year! Each Jr. Scholar will receive their own individually numbered Golden Ticket! Drawings will take place each Monday, and the winning numbers will announced during WPRI Ch. 12's 4:30pm news programming and posted Tuesdays on our Virtual Jr. Scholar Journal, on our Facebook Page and shared via email with our Leadership Schools!
4. Several grant programs planned throughout the school year, including funding for our popular Feinstein Jr. Scholar Food Pantry and Feinstein Jr. Scholar Kindness Tree programs!
5. Free “Bwana Iguana Reptile Adventure” show, Mastery Martial Arts assembly and “Tai Chi for All” lessons for your students!
6. Recognition of your school as a Feinstein Leadership School and your students as Feinstein Jr. Scholars. Leadership School signage available to registered schools.
7. Over $20 million in college scholarships for our Jr. Scholars at the Alan Shawn Feinstein College of Education at URI, the Feinstein School of Education and Institute for Philanthropic Leadership at Rhode Island College and the Alan Shawn Feinstein College of Arts and Science at Roger Williams University — plus priority consideration for scholarships at Salve Regina University and Tufts University.
Please note: We will not be offering Jr. Scholar t-shirts this school year. We plan to offer t-shirts again in the near future. Please encourage your students who do have Jr. Scholar t-shirts to wear them often, both in school and out.
