Library and Technology News
EUSD made some minor updates to the student acceptable use policy for technology. There’s an updated fee schedule for lost and willfully damaged technology items. Please see the Use of Technology website or the Policy below. Please review this important information with your child.
Do you ever wonder how to handle the iPads, cell phones, or other digital devices? Allowing your child to access the internet, gaming systems, YouTube, TikTok, social media platforms or using digital devices is just a dangerous as crossing the street. Please take a look at this helpful guide that shows the steps to learning how to use the internet, devices and social media.
Parking Lot Efficiency for Arrival and Dismissal
Families, we need your help! The parking lot flow for arrival/dismissal is an artful process. We are delivering and connecting over 500 families and students twice daily in about 25 minutes. This takes teamwork and patience. We understand everyone is trying to get to work or home but we have had some unsafe actions in our parking lot. This is why we need your help!
Please follow posted signs and staff member directions in the parking lot. For the parking lot to flow at optimum efficiency, we need parents to pull all the way forward as staff are instructing. Then we are able to unload 7 to 8 cars at a time. By doing this we are able to toggle back and forth between the two sides. Staying in your lane at arrival or dismissal also helps with the flow of traffic so that it doesn't interrupt the other lanes that flow at different times. The signage in the parking lot keeps TK-1st grade families and 2nd - 5th grade in different areas. Our second lane is for buses and designated cars only. Having these three different drop-off locations allows us to efficiently and most importantly safely get our students to and from school. Students should NEVER be dropped off in the number two lane, middle parking lot, or on North Broadway. These locations are dangerous.
Staff Parking Lot- The back parking lot behind classrooms 24 - 28 is identified as a Staff Only Parking Lot. Staff often need to double park because we have more staff than parking spaces. Families may park in the main lot in the guest parking spots or open spots. The unintended consequence of parents parking in the staff lot is staff then have to park in the guest spots in order to get to work. We understand that there is limited parking at school which is why we offer drive-through drop-off and pick-up service. Families can also park on Country Club Lane or at Jesmond Dene Park to walk their children to class. The ramp gate is open from 7:30 to 8:00 AM and 2:30 - 3:00 PM. Thank you for keeping the staff parking lot open.
We teach our students the Bronco Way is to Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe. We hope that you can also help us model this in our parking lot and surrounding streets. #DrivetheBroncoWay

Volunteering at EUSD - The Escondido Union School District (EUSD) welcomes partnerships with families and/or community members through volunteerism at any of our 23 district schools. Volunteering comes in a variety of forms, such as:
- volunteering in the classrooms regularly or for special occasions
- chaperoning/driving on field trips
- helping with special events like Red Ribbon Week's Door Decorating, PTAs Jog-a-thon, Art Lessons, Parent Leadership (PTA, School Site Council, ELAC) and so much more.
- Volunteer Club! If you’ve been looking for an opportunity to help and meet other families, the Volunteer Club is for you! We offer a child friendly environment where you can prepare class materials such as cutting, pasting, organizing, coping, etc. The Volunteer Club will be open on a regular basis on Wednesdays from 8:00-11:00 am starting in September.
For all of these opportunities, you need to be registered as a volunteer in one of four levels. To ensure the safety of our students, the following are procedures and applications for serving as a volunteer in our district: https://www.eusd.org/page/volunteering.
If you have any questions or for more information on specific volunteer opportunities, please contact Susie Urrutia, Family Liaison - surrutia@eusd.org
EUSD Framework for the Future: Learner Profile
You have been hearing about the Framework for the Future and the EUSD Learner Profile by Dr. Ibarra. For September, we will be working on what it means for our Broncos to be an Empowered Learner. Students are curious and self-directed, they pursue their goals and interests and navigate any challenges as they come along. They embrace a growth mindset when it comes to learning. Get to know the whole-learner outcomes and the new EUSD Learner Profile in our Framework for the Future. Here is an example of our Empowered Learners in Ms. Mullin's 4th grade class. Each student has the opportunity to research a topic of interest every Friday with Fun Fact Friday!
