Arrival & Dismissal - Call Ahead for dismissal pass to be issued to your child
Students should ALWAYS report to the office to sign in late, sign out for an appointment or to go home sick. Students should NOT just text a parent then leave the building without checking out in the Main Office.
If parents/guardians call with enough notice, a pass can be issued and the parent/guardian can remain in the vehicle and have the student dismissed to meet them, saving time and being more convenient.
Attendance Matters - New Automated Call
You may have noticed FHS switched vendors for reminder calls about attendance at the end of September. Previously, the automated calls would inform parents that their child "was absent in one or more classes" but not designate which one - causing parents to have to view attendance in Parent Vue.
Our new vendor, connected with our new website, provides the student name, the class periods a student was marked absent, and the FHS Main Office number to call to excuse the absence (see the sample below).
Note: Remember, you have until noon the day following the absence.
Parker Knarker Signage
Note: Check out the Parker Knarker video created by students in Video Productions in this week's FHS new (approximately 6:18 min mark). See the link below!
Student Parking - Don't Get Towed
- Students have had 7 weeks to register his/her vehicle.
- Stickers MUST be applied to the window. FHS can replace the sticker free of charge for windshield replacements. Apply sticker to windshield (lower left passenger side).
- Students should park in the spot that matches his/her sticker. Use the Parker Knarker QR code to report violators.
- FHS uses a third party to tow vehicles not registered to park on campus. Tow trucks will begin patrolling lots.
