Term 3 Starts Tomorrow - Tuesday, January 23
Today marks the end of term 2 and semester 1 at Nipmuc. Students - this is a great time to check PowerSchool for the accuracy of grades before grades are finalized. Please see your teachers if you have any questions.
For students in semester classes, tomorrow you will begin attending your semester 2 class. If you have any questions about your schedule, please see your school counselor.
Nipmuc Science Symposium
Science & Engineering Research Symposium
Please join us this Wednesday, January 24 for the Science and Engineering Symposium. Students in Engineering 1 & 2, Chemistry, Marine Science, AP Biology, Disease, AP Biology, and Independent Research Projects will present their research during our annual symposium in the Nipmuc Regional High School gymnasium from 8am to 10am. Parents and community members are invited to attend.
Inspired Learning Day - February 6, 2024
On Tuesday, February 6, we will host a district-wide Inspired Learning Day. These days are full-day events where we provide learning opportunities and sessions to tap into students’ interests and excitement.
Last Thursday students were able to sign up for their top four ILD choices. Workshop offerings cover a WIDE array of topics including AI, leadership, video games, sports management, international cuisine, digital and graphic arts, drama, fashion, and so much more! Students will be notified of their sessions on Friday, January 26.

The Inspired Learning Day on February 6 is a regular school day and attendance is expected. Any student who has a planned excused absence on that day should submit paperwork/confirmation as soon as possible so that we can plan accordingly.

Looking for Lego Donations for Inspired Learning Day
Do you have some old legos laying around that you are no longer using? We are in search of legos for one of the upcoming sessions for the Inspired Learning Day. You can find information about the session that will be running for students mentioned below. If you are able to donate legos please drop them off to the main office by Wednesday, January 31. We thank you in advance for any dontations.

Opportunities to Participate
ASVAB Testing in March - Sign Up Necessary to Participate
Nipmuc Regional will be offering students in grades 10-12 the choice to participate in the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) Career Exploration Program (CEP) on Friday, March 22, 2024. ASVAB CEP is an opportunity for students to explore career and post-secondary options and to identify individual skills and interests as well as explore all the pathways to reach career goals -- education, credentialing, licensure and apprenticeship programs, and the Military. This is a self-paced electronic test administered by an ASVAB representative. Follow up results will be provided and reviewed in early May 2024.

Attention all Juniors!
Class Dues
Thank you to Class of 2025 caretakers who have submitted class dues since the initial request was sent in early January. The target date for 2023-24 dues collection is February 1st! We are making progress! You may read the email letter that was sent here. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to Class of 2025 advisor, Tara Bennett at tbennett@mursd.org. Class dues assist in planning class activities senior year such as prom and senior week as well as the yearbook.
Cookie Dough Fundraiser
The Class of 2025 is selling Rebecca's Nut Free Cookie Dough! The Class of 2025 on-line store is accepting orders and donations through January 26, 2024. Product pick-up is Tuesday, February 13, 2024 from 2:05pm - 5:00pm at the high school. There is a delivery option as well. The on-line store link is HERE!
