Nipmuc Welcomes National Defense University on September 20
Nipmuc will host more than 100 international fellows from the National Defense University (NDU) in Washington DC. This marks the seventh time that this group of future diplomats from across the globe will be visiting Nipmuc to get a taste of American education and have the chance to meet with and shadow American teenagers during the school day.
The National Defense University is an extension of the National War College. Students who attend this Masters program have been sent by their home countries in recognition of their potential for future diplomatic roles. Graduates of the NDU include many top diplomats and elected officials from nations across the globe. Over the course of recent years, students have built meaningful connections with this group of global leaders in an exciting exchange of cultures.
NDU visiting fellows will get to receive a briefing on American education from Mr. Clements and Mrs. Moran. Following this meeting, the fellows will shadow students in order to visit classrooms and see what life is like for an American high school student.
