FAST 2023
Last Wednesday, students enjoyed the annual FAST tradition at Nipmuc before heading out for their Thanksgiving break. Faculty and Students Together (FAST) is a day filled with school pride, friendly competition, and team building. Each of the classes did a great job decorating their walls in the gymnasium in their class colors for the pep rally. You could hear the cheers from the auditorium with the Minute To Win It games. During the pep rally, classes competed in some friendly competition and the teacher with the most feathers was revealed, Sra. Soto, in her turkey costume! Thank you again to Ms. Swenson and the student council for organizing a wonderful event.
JED High School Student Survey
Announcing the JED High School Student Survey at Nipmuc
Nipmuc is conducting a school-wide survey about student health and well-being. Students are being asked to participate, along with students at other high schools across the country. Student responses will help improve understanding of how schools can support student mental health more effectively. Responses will be kept confidential and secure, and will not be connected with student names, emails, or any other identifying information.
If you would not like for your student to participate in the survey, please fill out this consent form by Tuesday, 11/28. If we do not hear from you, your student will be invited to participate.

Survey from CMRSAC
The Central Massachusetts Regional Student Advisory Council (CMRSAC) is a student group that works to improve the high school experience in collaboration with the Massachusetts Department of Education (DESE). Every year CMRSAC forms workgroups pertaining to the specific issues that students care most deeply about. To get Nipmuc student voices heard we ask that students fill out this quick google form by November 30th. This way our delegates can best represent you!

Winter Wellness Week Next Week
Get ready for Wellness Week this December! The purpose of Wellness Week is to spread awareness of wellness practices, promote healthy lifestyles, and learn ways to cope with and decrease stress. The Nipmuc School Counselors have special wellness activities planned throughout the week next week including two days of advisory activities and a guest speaker. The weekends before and after Wellness Week will be our “Wind-down Weekend,” with no homework assigned, so students can focus on spending time with family/friends and self-care.
