It's Go Time!!!!
August 22, 2022
First Day of School Eve!!
Let's get started on the right foot!!
- Be sure that your child knows if they should have breakfast at school in the morning. If they are having breakfast at school, please get them to school at 7:45. We want to get instruction started at 8AM. K-3 kids will eat breakfast in the cafeteria in the morning.
- Remember that we do NOT have universal free meals any longer. Please get those free/reduced meals applications in as soon as possible.
- Be sure your kiddos know how they are getting home from school.
- Be sure they can open all of their snack/lunch items. We will be there to help but there are only a few of us and many of them.
- Please do not plan to walk your child into the building. It is best to keep to the same practice on the first day as you will continue the rest of the year. We will love them, distract them and make sure they are ok all day long.
- Fully charged iPads should come to school with our 4th and 5th grade students on the first day. New students and third graders should get iPads this week.
- Parents dropping their kids off in the morning in the car line should remain in their vehicles and have the kids ready to hop out and get into the building. I know this is a challenge sometimes but we will be there to help get them out and carry things! Remember to get the last kisses, hugs, and "I love you(s)" in before you get up to the sidewalk. :)
- If you need help with school supplies, we have LOTS of everything on all the lists including book bags. Just call or email me!!
- If you have a little one who is fretful and sheds some tears in the morning-it's ok. Feel free to call the office and check on them throughout the day.
- We have water bottle fillers, you only need to provide the container. Be sure to send one every day!
- Please be at the bus stop ten minutes early in the mornings and afternoons. Be prepared to wait a while also. The first week, transportation wise, is always a little challenging as we navigate the new routes, new students, and new drivers.
- Please be patient with us and know that your children are safe and loved!!
