Twin Hills Elementary School
"Students Today; Leaders Tomorrow!" ~September 2022
Principal's Message...
"If we just believe, the best is yet to come!" ~Grover Washington Jr. ft. Patti LaBelle
- build collegial relationships and improve our professional capacity
- foster an environment where children feel safe and cared for
- promote high standards for the academic, social, and emotional success of all students
- support families through a relationship based on compassion and respect
- encourage students to envision and create opportunities for their futures
So, for me, ten years does not signify a benchmark to slow down. When reflecting, I assessed all that we've endeavored to envision a path forward. I recommitted myself to growing personally and professionally to benefit my students and their families, which is exemplified by my utilizing a new translatable monthly school newsletter format for our English Language Learners and their families. (Some know that I can be so traditional at times! ;<))
I am 20+ years in my career and feel so excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. Mary Haines, a respected former colleague, once said every educator should ask themselves, "Is that what I would want for my child?" She was right then, and she still is now. Each morning I ask myself that question. My answer is, "I experience Twin Hills as a special place to work and learn and want every member of our school community to feel the same!" Let's make it all we want it to be in 2022-23!
All of My Love!
~Dr. Sonya R. Nock
