Sowams SIT/Special Education Task Force Application
Thank you for taking the time to complete this application and expressing interest in serving on the Sowams School Improvement Team or Sowams Special Education Task Force.  We are looking for four parents (one from each grade level) for each committee.  If there are more parents interested in being on either Committee, Mr. Callahan will consult with our PTO to assist in making the final decision based upon having representation from grade levels, a cross section of the school (i.e. parents of students with IEPs and students without IEPs), and what contributions to the team you are able to make (see question below).  

The School Improvement Team focuses on creating and measuring school-wide goals aligned to the district strategic plan.  The Special Education Task Force will provide feedback and share perspectives on special education related topics, draw attention to areas of concern, and contribute to solutions.  

Applications are due by September 15, 2023.
